Autumn Green Sketching Session in Whitewebbs Park
24th October 2026 at 11am
We are so excited to announce that artist Sharon Drew will be hosting another free sketching with us in Whitewebbs Park on Saturday, 24th October 2026, from 11:00AM—12:30PM.
Please book your FREE tickets here: https://www.ticketsource.com/guardians-of-whitewebbs/t-dkgepdk
Our last four sessions together were truly wonderful experiences - see our 'Events' highlight on Instagram to view videos and photos of our past events.
These sessions are a way of celebrating the wonder of Whitewebbs. This different approach to art is all about the connection with nature, using experimental drawing techniques. We will sit under the majestic redwoods like last time, which are not far from the Café (directions below).
Find out more about Green Sketching in The Guardian and watch Ali Foxon's TED Talk.
Green Sketching is particularly suited to beginners or those who lack confidence in drawing; the process and experimental attitude is key rather than the end result. However, those with more experience are also welcome to explore this approach to outdoor sketching. Children are welcome but must be accompanied by an adult. Materials will be provided. Sessions will run whatever the weather - appropriate clothing and footwear is recommended. We look forward to seeing you there!
Directions: we have noticed that Google Maps can take you on a much longer route than is necessary. Please, especially when coming by public transport, enter your destination as "Beggars Hollow, Enfield, EN2 9JN". This short road will take you to Whitewebbs Café, where this event will start. This means that you can take the most direct route.

October walk highlights
In this 3 part video, Benny Hawksbee shows us the rewilded beauty of Whitewebbs, talks about the importance of this grassland and woodland for wildlife, and mentions the flaws in some or Tottenham Hotspur Football Club's proposals.
Melisa Zulu leads a tree shrine decoration session, where everybody had the opportunity to decorate one of the mature trees that will be cut down.
Benny Hawksbee and Kitty Clarke brought seeds to scatter on the soil which was dug up as a result of the archaeological digging.
Each walk we hold is a celebration of the natural beauty of the Park in its wonderfully rewilded state.
